Director – !deation/Innovation 2015 - Current
Managed the !deation and Innovation program for the Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial (AAI) vertical, the largest vertical within Ryder Systems.
• Implemented new technology (Aha!) to improve the customer user experience. This provided the user community access to the Aha! Portal, allowing for comments, feedback, voting, and status updates on each individual project.
• Increased and improved employee participation; growing 252%, from 246 to 620 employees. This increased the number of employee submissions by 229%, from 94 to 216 suggestions.
• Created and managed the Engineering Best Practices Council, attended by the Engineering account team leaders. This helped facilitate and prioritize employee submissions to the !deation team.
• Implemented proposed employee submissions, leading to systems, building and process improvements, resulting in Ryder savings of $750K.
• Presented the !deation/Innovation yearly update at the annual AAI Leadership meeting, and recognized the Innovator of the Year for their key contributions to the program.
• Organized and facilitated the annual AAI Kaizen challenge program, increasing annual participation by 33%.
Director – AAI Tier One Engineering/Procurement 2008 to 2015 Responsible for the day-to-day activities of 7 engineers and 3 procurement team members to support 15 AAI Tier One accounts and the Business Development organization.
• Delivered $3M annually in customer savings by implementing improvements, creating freight savings and revenue growth for fifteen accounts, combining freight across multiple accounts, leveraging procurement rates and identifying dedicated transportation opportunities.

• Converted $1.3M in common carrier freight under management (FUM), to dedicated transportation, resulting in a 17% saving opportunity, increasing revenue by $1.1M.
• Managed $450M in freight under management (FUM), to include Truckload and Less than truckload for the AAI vertical.
• Collaborated with Business Development and Operations, supporting $100M in new business opportunities, resulting in a hit rate of 8-12%.
• Worked with the account teams and the carrier base, mitigating carrier rate increases by leveraging business relationships and capacity, minimizing the impact to customers by an average of 1.5 to 2%.
