Manager IT
Oversaw technical operations for office and warehouse settings, comprised of data center management and 800 end-user computer and telephone systems. Led a team of technicians to provide hands-free voice selection to telnet-based mainframe sessions for pallet level management of grocery wholesale products. Developed and implemented new cabling to office level as well as star topology fiber configuration, leading all 13 remote Intermediate Distribution facilities to the core through single or multimode fiber, ensuring all locations have facility level UPS protection. Administered an 800+ VoIP Cisco telephone system and RHOLM Siemens 9751 PBX. Designed and updated Visio technical layered drawings to document network infrastructure, security camera/DVR locations and connectivity, as well as security door access locations for technical hardware maintenance and a layer for office locations as well as data center detail for wiring, raised floor, and electrical connection locations. Responded to all customer requests through CA Service Desk Manager or through direct correspondence with access requests through CA Service Catalog. Planned and monitored $2.9M in hardware and software procurement for technical project planning. Handled 20 region office servers, Exchange, Proxy Service, Firewall, and company proprietary application servers. Responsible for lifecycle management of over 3900 devices.
Key Accomplishments:
Configured 700+ computer workstations and laptops with Windows 7 both 32bit and 64bit with limited rollout of Windows10; successfully outlined lifecycle and inventory programs to manage assets.
Implemented a new PROX ID badge door access management system with Premi-sys/Identifcard for badge creation and management, using a 9 DVR security camera system with 65 IP cameras.
Maintained 100 VC5090 Forklift Windows CE computers and 90 MC9090 handheld scanners for telnet sessions to mainframe for pallet level receiving, inventory control, and cross-dock shipping as well as a host of Printronix pallet tag printers, multi-function devices and conventional laser printers.
Managed 200 Vocollect A720 Talkman units with Bluetooth headsets for voice order selection; operated on 165 Motorola AP7532 on layer 3 configuration, with a wired network consisting of 41 8650-model Cisco switches.
