Production Manager role quickly grew to Production/Maintenance/Inventory management for the first 7 months, in order to bring positive change with sustainability to a low performing facility; team building was the first step. Placing people, within Production, in positions based on their capabilities brought positive change and a boost to moral; followed by deep cleaning (physical environment/equipment and SOPs). Organizing the department and development of best practices grew to Supervisors taking on ownership of people, processes across two high speed can lines and three PET lines w/three KHS Blow Molds. The facility improved 28% in efficiency from the previous year, which energized the entire team.
