Kindergarten Level Head Duties:

• During the 2017-2018 school year, I have created and implemented the following: American benchmarks and standards to base our curriculum from toddler to kindergarten classes; standardized progress reports based off the standards and benchmarks for quarterly assessments; Kindergarten Parent Handbook; standardized lesson observation form; reading buddy program with primary and secondary students (started in the 2016-2017 school year)

• Work with my team to plan semester units and develop resources; complete monthly observations of teachers and monitor their lesson plans to ensure they meet multiple standards and follow the scope and sequence; run weekly meetings with Kindergarten team and take minutes; hold monthly professional development session for the department and provide materials: create official notices and handle communication and/or concerns with parents; attend weekly level head meetings to work with heads of school to solve situations and promote positive growth for the school; and a monthly report to administration to summarize events, incidents, and accomplishments for the department

• Plan and prepare all Kindergarten (Thanksgiving lunch; Mother’s Day Tea, etc.) and school-wide (Christmas or Graduation) events; order and prepare monthly cooking events for the department; prepare and schedule monthly field trips; complete monthly newsletter for the school

Classroom Teacher Duties:

• Work as the primary educatory for 20 children ranging from two to four years old for 40 hours each school week and preparation outside the classroom. Circle time held every morning, and student directed lessons focused on developing oral and written English, fine and gross motor skills, socio-emotional developmental skills, science, math, music, social studies and art through creative centers and materials.
