Professional Experience

Lately was associated with M/s. Mjunction Services Limited, Durgapur as Sr.Manager, Purchase for the period from 1.7.2013 till 01.9.2014 posted at Durgapur Steel Plant.

M/s. Mjunction Services Limited is a joint venture between SAIL & TATA, and is a service providing industry, serving all the units of SAIL & TATA group of companies. It has a number of divisions like metaljunction, buyjunction,valuejunction etc.

I was the team leader of buyjunction division in Durgapur heading a team of 9 members and was looking after the purchase of the requirement of Durgapur Steel Plant (limited value material).

Was in M/s. Exide Industries Limited,Haldia as Deputy Manager- Materials from October,2012 till June,2013

The Company was incorporated as Associated Battery Makers (Eastern) Ltd., on 31st January, 1947 under the Companies Act, 1913 to purchase all or any of the assets of the business of manufacturers, buyers and sellers of and dealers in and repairers of electrical and chemical appliances and goods carried on by the Chloride Electric Storage Company (India) Ltd, in India. The name of the Company was changed to Chloride India Ltd on 2nd August, 1972. The name of the Company was again changed to Chloride Industries Ltd. vide fresh Certificate of Incorporation dated 12th October, 1988. The name of the Company was further changed to Exide Industries Ltd. on 25th August, 1995.

Worked in M/s. Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.,Haldia as Asst. Manager – Purchase for the period April, 2007 to September, 2012

Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd. ( SRSL ), is one of India's leading sugar manufacturing companies. SRSL is a fully integrated sugar company in manufacturing, marketing and trading of sugar, power generation and ethanol production.

SRSL has set up a 2000 TPD standalone Sugar Refinery ( Rs. 400 Crores approx) at Haldia in West Bengal. ( A Greenfield sugar project at Haldia ), Now expanded to 2500 TPD with a 15 megawatt Power Plant. Successfully completed the three phases of project.

Made responsible for the complete Purchase deptt esp.project material procurement.

Coal, Cement, Structural Steel, Plant –Machinery & other engineering material related to Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation etc

Previously associated with Graphite India Limited (Coke Division), Barauni from 1994. to March, 2007.

Over 11 years experience in Purchase and overall In-charge, Purchase Department of Barauni plant, 1995- 2005.

Had been in the Purchase Department as Assistant Officer, Purchase since 1995.

Took over as Deputy Officer, Purchase in 2003.

Was made responsible for the complete purchases of Haldia plant of M/s Shree Renuka Sugars Limited.

Previously over 12 years experience in Purchase and overall in charge of the Purchase Department of M/s. Graphite India Limited, Barauni.

Implementation, procedures and functioning of ISO, Purchase

Entrusted with Internal auditing referring to procedures for observance of ISO Quality systems.

Responsible for coordination between Stores, Operations, Maintenance, Material Handling Department.

ISO

Contributed actively in the implementation of ISO procedures of the unit, Successfully conducted the ISO Audits and finally we were successful in being awarded the ISO Certificate in 2001.

SAP Exp.

SAP had been implemented in SRSL, in the month of October, 2007.Now upgraded to ECC 6 Version. Was actively involved in getting it implemented here in the MM Module.
