Bayfront Health of Port Charlotte. 2002- 2017: RN, Charge nurse of a post interventional cardiovascular unit. Over saw patient assignments as well as assisting other staff with patient care all while maintaining own patient assignment. Patient care included those post cardiac catheterization, ablation, and pacemaker insertion. Also proficient in management of patient’s status post myocardial infarction, arrhythmia’s, CHF and arterial sheath pulls. Was selected by my organization to assist in training and aiding the physician’s in transition to electronic charting.

Southern Technical College. 2016- 2017: Clinical Instructor for RN program. Duties included educating RN students in patient care, assessments and medication administration. Taught in the areas of Labor and Deliver, post-partum and newborn. I also educated students in the critical care areas such as ICU, interventional cardiac care and cardiovascular ICU step down.

Duties included chart reviews for insurance companies and assisting patient transition from hospital to home environment to prevent readmission. Worked closely with physicians to ensure proper utilization of medical testing as well as length of stay.

Bayfront Health Port Charlotte. 2004-2007: Labor and Delivery RN responsible for the care, monitoring and support of the laboring mother, as well as circulated during cesarean sections. Worked closely with each individual patient and family to ensure their preferences were being met in order to provide the most memorable and enjoyable experience possible.
