Transferred to QC as QC Manager, promoted to QC Director. Added responsibility for Microbiology and Quality Engineering and promoted to Director, Quality and Technical Service. Finally promoted to Director, Production Planning, Purchasing, Warehousing, and Distribution. Staff of up to 120+, spend of up to $6 million. One of the first 12 Certified Quality Engineers in North Carolina.

Created first written specifications. Created Color Lab, greatly reducing re-work of shaded products. Created Claim Substantiation Group. Company representative to FDA. Company representative as expert witness in legal matters.

Company acquired by Playtex, KKR, and Revlon.

Majored in Textiles and Textile Chemistry. Worked on several research projects dealing with permanent press, dye uptake, and color computer usage. Treasurer for Delta Kappa Phi, textile honor society. Achieved Senior status before leaving.
