Client - Adient – World’s Largest Car Sear Manufacturer
Project # 9: G2 – Unified ERP Template & Path to SAP S/4 Hana (March 2017 – Till Date)

Summary:
This is multiyear project involving 3 Phases. The ultimate goal of the project is to move the ERP system to SAP S/4 Hana and use the various innovation available on the new SAP S/4 Hana.
Phase 1 – Unified ERP template
The current SAP ERP landscape in Adient is split into 6 systems – Genesis, Saturn, CRH, Keiper, Recaro and Futuris. The project aims to bring a consolidation in the system landscapes. The project offers numerous cost saving opportunities up to a staggering 60 % through system consolidation. End resulting EPR landscape will form the basis of the movement to SAP S/4 Hana.
1.Genesis is the standard template carried forward from the Automotive Experience Division as Adient from Johnson Controls. The template is a combination of multiple ERP systems – SAP, QAD, EPIC and Hyperion. This is the mother and primary template for Adient. All systems from other templates will be merged in to Genesis.
2.Saturn is an end to end SAP based template involving SAP QM, PP etc. Adient's European plants in Bor, Ceskalipa, Rockenhausen, Ellemere Port and Vallonoid.
3.CRH – C. Rob. Hammerstein was a manufacturer of seat and recliner system accquired by Johnson controls in FY. 2010. The CRH plants are based majoring in Solingen, Germany. CRH Plants has SAP as its ERP system. They serve customers like Volkswagen, BMW and Mercedes – Benz etc.
4.Keiper and Recaro – Both Keiper and Recaro Manufacture seats for high end race cars and Luxury cars. Johnson controls acquired them in FY 2011. They cater to Manufactures like Aston Martin, Porsche etc.
5.Futuris – Futuris is the recent acquisition of Adient in FY 2018. Futuris customers are majorly next generation electric car manufactures like Tesla, Faraday Future etc. Futuris has a Oracle based ERP system which will also be migrated to fully SAP based system.
Phase 2 – EHP & Data Base Migration
The phase 2 of the project will be to upgrade the ERP system to HANA data base and also revise the EHP version to EHP8 from the current version of EHP6. This phase will be bring the Adient ERP landscape one step closer to SAP S/4 Hana. The Phase 2 of the project is supposed to start in June, 2018.
Phase 3 – SAP S/4 Hana – Run Simple
This is the final phase where the landscape will be moved to the latest and greatest SAP S/4 Hana 1709. Currently various discussions upon deciding the strategy to be followed. The 3 approaches – Green Field approach, Landscape Transformation and System Conversion are being evaluated carefully.

Phase 1 – Unified ERP Template
PTP Functional Lead Managing a team of 5 towards deliverables for GAP Estimation, High-Level Design blueprinting, preparation of POC, Solution Implementation, Testing and go-live tasks.
Decommission of PP, WM and QM Modules from the system.
Develop functional design documents; work with technical teams to develop solutions.
Custom Development of conversion object for Inventory Migration and Master Data Conversion.
Co-ordination with MFGPRO/EPICOR and Business Team for Data Loads and Conversion.
Understanding Custom business requirements, Configure & Customize the system, development of enhancements to enable business functionalities like Aftermarket, Tooling, Toll Manufacturing.
Experience in writing FS, building prototype in Sandbox, Implement the solution in a development and Functional and quality testing.
Perform data migration activities/ cut over Planning and cut over activities.
Responsible for Post go-live support during Hypercare & support issues daily.

Project # 8: Business Restructuring & Data Conversion (November 2016 – Till Date)

Summary:
These are small projects on demand projects which pop up due to Business Restructuring resulting due to goals towards tax savings, new plant build etc. These projects are built fixed cost on a factory model. Great amount of automation was done towards realization of margins for these fixed cost projects. These are roll out projects varying in size from creation and setup of 2 plants to 24 plants. Johnson Controls legally separated its Automotive - Seating business as a legal entity Adient. Adient was formed and listed on the stock exchanges on 31st, October 2016. The ERP systems need to be separated for the formation of new legal. A total of 156 Company Codes became a part of Adient which included both Share and Asset Sale. The project was carried out in 8 Waves.

SAP AFS Implementation for VfCrop - Timberland Factory at Dominican Republic. A First time SAP client to Infosys. Requirement was to implement plain SAP AFS system and few business requirements dictated development of labels, custom output forms, custom interfaces and custom screens for Hand held devices operation and development of reports.
Contribution:
SAP MM offshore team lead, worked on end to end SAP AFS Implantation, Managed a team of 3.
Performed configuration, FS preparation for custom ABAP developments & Unit testing.
