Plumber/ Steamfitter-Machinist. Performed as a Journeyman all duties of Plumber/Steamfitter as described in the Union Contract. Used all types of welding and machine shop equipment to fabricate and/or repair all types of equipment (pumps, ADA handrails, etc.) as needed by the University.
Tech Aid/ Velodyne Acoustics, San Jose, CA April 2001- August 2001 Machinist/ Electro-Mechanical Technician. Built custom radio controlled robots. Built and installed equipment for manufacturing of Velodyne products.
Echo Design/SSRL, Menlo Park, CA August 2000- January2001 Senior Mechanical Fabrication Specialist. Manufactured and installed precision equipment used in the Synchrotron Radiation Beam Laboratory. Systems included protein sample positioning devices, camera and microscope lens and lighting systems. Performed daily checks and preventative maintenance on beam line equipment.

Designed and installed new compressed air system. Repaired and/or modified all types of plant equipment including vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic operated material handling systems, servo and stepper drives, PC and PLC controls on roll conversion equipment including, 50 to 250 ton die cutting presses, roll die cutters, and printing presses.
