Premera BCBS is one of the largest health insurance provider in the Northwest area offering healthcare benefits and services for over 2 million members for over 80 years. The requirement was to design, manage and support migrations and upgrades from Facets 4.8 to 5.2 and update existing jobs and logic for business enhancements from Datastage 8.5 to 11.3 upgrade. The primary goal was to create an internal toolkit and eliminate the dependency on various external vendors while positioning the company towards an Analytics/Retail based model.

Responsibilities

Developed ETL code, reusable routines and canned reports for core subject areas of Claims, Provider, Membership, Income and Products and their reference relationships.

Developed sequencers to implement technical design flow of jobs.

Designed and created Database objects: tables, indices, views, procedures, packages and triggers.
