LAUREN WHITAKER
************@*****.***
I have dedicated the past 4 years to helping students that have special needs. I currently have 3 years as a certified paraprofessional (para) in Henry County. I began my journey in a K-2 Severe and Profound (Sid/Pid) class. In the two years I worked in that class, I believe it made me the great para that I am today. Currently, I work as a para in a K-2 transition class at a local elementary school. This class has taught me a whole different set a skills. Between the two classes I have worked in, I have learned love, patience, compassion, and did I say patience? Working in Exceptional Student Education is my calling and my passion. I adore what I do every day. I also believe that I will make a great addition to your work place.
I am a hard worker and am easy
to get along with.
I have great communication skills.
I am willing to learn new skills that
may need improvement.
I taught myself to play Ukulele.
Ukulele is an amazing tool with
students of all ages, and can be
used as therapy.
I am caring and truly love what I
do.

I was the first female football player at my middle school and high school. I was voted most athletic as a senior superlative. I am a certified paraprofessional, I love spending time outdoors with my three dogs. I have a ten month old son Whitaker "Whit" that is my world. I love learning new songs on the ukulele. Sometimes I even sing along to the song, although not very well. I also enjoy playing the Cajon, and the bongos. I believe music is so important in life and is truly underrated. I am proud to say that my son enjoys playing along with me! I enjoy being silly and making people smile, laugh, and working hard.
