Continental Case (now Concept Store Fixtures) is a leading manufacturer of replacement parts, shelves and skin kits for all major brands of OEM refrigerated cases for the supermarket industry. Locations include Le Gardeur, Quebec (Canada), Acworth, Georgia, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Offices in Northbrook, Illinois. Originally focused on re-skinning refrigerated display cases, product lines were expanded to offer SCHOTT Gemtron glass doors and Philips LED lighting to retrofit multi-deck cases. Brought on by private equity firm to be part of executive team member responsible for multi-site management of Production, Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Facilities, EHS, Quality, Technical Services, and Engineering activities at the Canadian and American facilities, and charged with moving three facilities in Canada to Georgia. Short-term assignment.

- Successfully moved three facilities in Canada to Georgia. Completed six months ahead of schedule (reduced time line by 50%) and under budget. Partnered with the state of Georgia to provide free training of direct labor.

- Reduced fixed costs by $360,000 annually.

Augusta Coating & Manufacturing (ACM) is full-service contract coater of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum parts for the transportation, automotive, agricultural, and recreational and maintenance vehicle markets. As well, ACM provides a wide array of value-added work, including welding of structural sub-components before coating and assembly and packaging after coating. Brought on by private equity firm to be executive team member responsible for Production, Planning, Logistics, Facilities, EHS, Quality, and Engineering activities in two facilities and launch three new customer programs. - In response to a highly seasonal revenue plan, initiated cross-training of hourly associates in multiple functions to reduce variable labor by 12%.

- Re-tooled operations in order to meet rollout of largest FEM project in North America.

Drove efforts to ISO 9001 registration in less than one year.

- Cross-training of variable direct labor improved overall plant efficiency by 20 percentage points.

- First-pass yield improved by 10 percentage points through use of work standardization, continuous improvement teams, Poke-Yoke techniques, and design for manufacturability reviews.

- Inventory turns increased 20% through negotiating pay-on-production terms with supply base and use of Kanbans.

Responsibility for directing the quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, facilities, maintenance, and shipping functions. Charged with expanding the Charlotte facility by 140,000 square feet to accept 7 production lines from rationalized facilities. Also acted as division ISO 9001 leader to bring all 5 facilities to ISO 9001 registration in less than one year.

- Process owner of six sigma projects and led Kaizen events for annual savings of $2.5M.

- Member of Division Global Sourcing Team. Developed procedure to evaluate and approve potential suppliers. Annual savings of $14M.

- Project manager for expanding the Charlotte facility by 140,000 square feet, redesigning plant through value stream mapping and Kaizen events to introduce lean manufacturing techniques and automated processes where applicable.
