Jan 2018 – present Systems Engineering Consultant – Electrical Load Management System (ELMS3) Boeing 777x Power Distributions, GE Aviation

• Technical focal for Electrical Load Management System (ELMS3) on Boeing 777X. Responsibilities involve: o Perform validation and verification of Electrical Equipment Subsystems and common requirements defined in the customer design specification, system requirement specification in line with Boeing D6 specification and DO-160G.

o Produce requirement traceability matrix: assign cascaded and derived requirements with appropriate verification domain and method.

o Conduct investigations and analysis of ELMS3 issues reported internally and by Boeing within the required timescale and rectify the faults found.

o Plan and manage deliverables of system development tests on Electrical Power Integration Centre. July 2016 – Jan 2018 Functional Technical Lead – Systems Engineering and Development, Rolls-Royce plc

• Technically lead and develop a team of 14 full time engineers, ensuring efficient tasks and priority management to achieve critical Trent XWB programme requirements and milestones.

• Responsibilities as the owner of the HP/IP structure on Trent XWB-84 engine include compiling and maintaining validation and verification packages to ensure their compliance with specification, adherence to safety regulations and effectiveness for production release post entry into service.

• Lead and conduct investigations of issues found during Engine Development and on Flight Test Programme. March 2013–Sept 2014 Whole Engine and Certification Engineer, Rolls-Royce plc

• The certification test owner of the CS-E1040 ETOPS for Trent XWB-84 which achieved an unprecedented 420- minute (7hr) extended twin operations (ETOPS) requirement in 2014. Accountabilities include: o Define test requirements and agree them with the aviation authorities (EASA and FAA) to show compliance with EASA’s Regulations, CS-E Amendment 3.

o Manage and coordinate programme and engineering deliverables with the wider Trent XWB team. This includes setting up a working group structure to address technical issues and managing them via ARM risk register.

o Deliver and present the ETOPS test results at Bi-weekly Joint Rolls-Royce/Airbus/UTAS/EASA review meeting.

o Support R-R Technical Publications team with troubleshooting and maintenance manual updates to reflect in- service aircraft operations.

o Provide 3-month onsite support at the R-R Outdoor Jet Engine Testing Facility at the John C. Stennis Space Centre, USA; ensure that the test requirements are understood, agreed and met by the collaborative team. o Present the Trent XWB-84 ETOPS test deliverables to the senior management team during the Engineering Technical Review chaired by Colin Smith, Director of Engineering and Technology. Summary of rewards/promotion: Professional Development Review was rated as High Performance in 2013. Received merit and progression reward due to high level of individual performance in 2014. Feb 2012 – March 2013 System Verification Engineer – System Integration Testing, Rolls-Royce plc

• Perform Trent XWB EMU level C and E verification testing for EHM Reporting as part of the A350 validation and verification strategy. The test results generated were analysed and reported to Airbus as evidence of compliance to Airbus requirements documents.

• Manage fault finding log for Trent XWB EMU and work effectively with the supplier, Meggitt SA in troubleshooting new issues arising from rig testing.

• Responsible for verifying and analysing the resultant data to assess the compliance of the implemented system with its requirements and to raise any emergent system or test environment problems of the Trent XWB Engine Monitoring Unit.

Summary of rewards/promotion: Received recognition from the Head of Controls and Electrical Engineering for demonstrating a high level of personal accountability and commitment in addition to great flexibility at short notice. Oct 2010 – Jan 2012 System Design Engineer – Systems Design Team for Civil Trents, Rolls-Royce plc

• Analyse engine test-bed data to validate the Trent XWB Engine Monitoring Unit state-machine logic and speed threshold levels.

• Map the structure of Engine Health Monitoring reports on the Trent XWB engine across all movements of these files from the Engine Monitoring Unit fitted on the engine to the end-user.

• Provide reliable support to the flight test team in Toulouse, France on troubleshooting EMU related issues and monitoring the recorded engine test data on daily basis.

• Develop a method to increase the efficiency of analysing large number of engine data and produced a user guide for using the engine data analysis tools.
