Responsible for National Hockey League (NHL) team’s operation as it pertains to domestic and international travel, four-star or better accommodations and scheduling for team’s 23 players, five coaches and members of upper management.
Work directly with team ownership, executive management, players and coaches, as well as NHL management in New York and Toronto, regarding local and national media and public relations opportunities.
Produce and edit team publications and news releases, arrange news conferences and public appearances, and contribute to marketing and community relations materials and events.

Report directly to team President in regard to contract negotiations with network, as well as team-employed talent, including a multi-year, nine-figure television rights agreements in 2008 and 2012.
Solely negotiated a new multi-year radio partnership in 2007, and its extensions in 2010, 2012 and 2015, significantly increasing the organization’s media and brand exposure and creating new revenue streams.
Serve as team’s media contact at road games, manage all media-related activity at home games at PNC Arena, and hire/manage communications department employees, office interns and game-night employees each season.
During tenure, Carolina Hurricanes’ media relations department twice named a finalist for the highly-regarded Dick Dillman Award, given annually to the NHL’s top media relations staff.
Hired as Website Reporter in January 2001 following four months as a full-time media relations intern. In that role, produced news content (game stories, features, player profiles) and solely maintained the functionality of team’s official website.
