Position Summary:

Improves customer satisfaction through the quality assurance/quality control programs by maintaining and enhancing product specifications and production execution. Critical features of this job are described under the headings below.

Essential Functions:

Performs quality checks and process audits. Records, maintains and reports all audit data.

Lead, manage, and maintain standard operating procedures, process checks, process audits and other quality control documentation.

Analyze audit data; implement containment and corrective actions when necessary. Create trend analysis from data for improvements.

Maintain KPI (Key performance indicators) metrics to track performance over time. Suggest and track operational efficiencies of departments. Goals are determined for Safety, Quality Speed, and Cost.

Record, manage and analyze customer complaint data. Utilize data to resolve customer complaints.

Assists with the training of other auditors and production assistants.

Collaborates with team members and peers to ensure consistency in our quality programs and processes.

Assist with projects that will improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.

Performs 100% inspections on all products samples going to dealers.

Monitor Process and Product at start up, and at completion to verify the product measurements are within the tolerances for given product specifications. Measurement of helix codes, lay directions, type ropes, core’s, and lubrication.

Review the product’s operations sheets by checking rope parameters randomly throughout the run. These include stranding, swaging, extruding of plastic jacket mooring ropes.

Review tensile testing requirements by size or customer requirements and that all products being shipped meets the required minimum standards. 3
