Sr. Manager Production Planning 2013 – Present

Responsibilities include procure raw material to meet planned consumption from both internal and outside procurement; manage perpetual inventory of raw material and schedule transportation from outbound facilities to case ready plants; generate daily production plans; review to ensure complete fill rate; generate long-term production plans balancing raw material and plant constraints to forecast demand. Maintains continuous communication with production, QA, material handling, sales and customer service. Demonstrates excellence and effectively copes with varied and accelerating job changes.

Successfully implemented a new infused patty roll for Wal-Mart growing the business from a volume 10K a week to over 100K a week.

Maintains a fill rate of 99.5%.

Oversees the launch of new products coordinating with Sales, Production, QA, Marketing, and innovation teams.

Over sees all aspects of scheduling and procurement for 3 case ready production facilities.

Production Planner 2012 – 2013

Responsible for generating multiple production schedules on daily basis; advancing planning strategies based on customer demand, line capacities, and raw material requirements. Includes ordering direct materials based on demand from outside suppliers and managing finished and raw inventory on a daily basis. Monitoring customer shipments out of forward warehouses and creating orders for cross docks to ensure fill rate while keeping in mind freight optimization.

Scheduled and managed 110 finished SKUs with time sensitive age restraints.

Responsible for the weekly procurement of 250,000 lbs of veggies and seasonings for our Kit program.

Provided strong back up support for other jobs.

Coordinated the roll out of new kit codes insuring raw materials and line capacities meet forecasted demand.

Maintained a fill rate of 99.5%.

Fleet Specialist 2010 – 2012

Responsible for the supervision of approximately 100 internal drivers for Tyson Foods. Ensures that all drivers are in compliance with DOT regulations as well as working with sales and planning to ensure freight arrives on time while moving on the most efficient routes. Other daily tasks include working with road service, safety, OS&D, as well as notifying customers and rescheduling late loads.

Maintained on time service level of 98% or higher.

Performed verbal and written counseling and insured accurate record of point system.

Scheduled and tracked driver’s vacation time.

Review quarterly budget to ensure profitability.

Completed all necessary DOT training courses.

Supervisor Distribution Center (Olathe, Kansas) 2009 – 2010

Responsible for managing the work load for a team of 40 employees. Duties include running labor, inventory, and inbound receiving reports. Responsible for helping to maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure that all of Tyson safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. Other daily tasks include providing sales with inventory levels and acquiring releases and product information from plants.

Implemented a labor management system which increased cases per man hour from 250 to 400.

Managed trained and developed a team of four supervisors to management positions.

Management Trainee (Dakota Dunes, South Dakota) 2008 – 2009

Manager Load Planning duties included scheduling loads based on the locations of the customers to provide cost savings by finding the most efficient routes. Along with maintaining full truck loads while still servicing our priority customers.

Manager Customer Service duties included working between the customer, sales, and transportation to ensure the customer got on time delivery, while also maintaining positive business relationships with the outside carriers and customers.

Manager Outside Transportation duties included managing the interaction between the plants and outside carriers to ensure loads got picked up on time at plant and delivered on time to the customer. Also responsible for managing the various outside carriers and ensuring that we were providing the carriers with the correct loads, rates, and lanes.

Successfully completed Tyson management training program three months early.

Toured Dakota City processing/slaughter facility.

Responsible for running service failure reports as well as scheduling appointments for the Tyson fleet. Tracked and traced high priority loads and maintained trailer levels at the various plants. Provided all levels of management with reports and assistance as needed.
