Quality Control Inspector
Full time Position; Duties include inspecting recently built utility boxes that are mounted to various different truck chassis. As the inspector, I oversee four quality techs, they do the repairs and rework that I find or need done. It is my job to pull and read blueprints, if there is a question on how it was made or welded together. Once the trucks are deemed to be within the standards, I enter them into the computer system so that they may be picked up for delivery.
Trans Air Mfg., Dallastown, PA. 7/2015 – 1/2016
Quality Assurance Engineer
Contract/Consultant Position; Duties have included supervising and working closely with the incoming/receiving inspector on any, and or all various quality issues, assuring that these parts meet Trans Air’s generated prints. Calibrated tools and equipment internally as needed, as well as prepared and shipped other tooling needing external calibration. Worked with Navistar, and Trans Air Management to solve and correct several quality problems that arose, investigated and sought solutions, then wrote the needed 8D reports. I am responsible for the daily quality operations and most managerial duties. Prepared for, and helped the ISO Auditor during recent audit. Working with a team, looking for patterns in warranty issues, in which we investigate the problems, and try to find solutions for a cost reduction.

Supplier Quality Engineer ~ Harley- Davidson Motor Company
Contract Position; Duties included working closely with management and assembly floor personnel on all various incoming vendor issues, assuring that the parts meet Harley-Davidson’s quality and cosmetic standards, reading prints with GD& T, inspecting parts, problem solving and contacting vendors when parts were not correct. Job also entailed overseeing the company’s local outside assembly facility, for assembly and quality issues and assisting where ever possible to ensure they got what help they needed for positive results. Also works with third party auditing company, giving knowledge and guidance when needed for them to complete their auditing tasks.

Final Quality Inspector
Duties included final inspection of customers’ products and meeting of their specifications. Supporting 2nd shift, inspected military and commercial products using various gauges and Brown and Sharp manual CMM daily. After inspection, I would prepare products for shipment to our customers.

Quality Engineer
Duties included internal quality control with turbine blades, vanes and heatshields for jet engines and land based power systems, with emphasis on customer relations and communication. As a Quality Engineer, was responsible for Material Review Board inventory and control, production lines inspections, SPC and other types. As an ISO Auditor, responsible for process, procedure, and production audits to be done on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule. Worked with root cause analysis, preventive measures and corrective actions to ensure processes and production line were producing quality parts that met customers’ blueprint specifications. General Electric trained as a DSQR Designated Supplier Quality Representative. ISO qualified auditor. Customer base included General Electric, Fiat Avio, Scenma Motors and for Pratt & Whitney.
MPC Industries, Lancaster, PA. 5/2002 – 9/2003
In Process Quality Control Assurance
Duties included, but not limited to, in-process inspecting and gauging of parts after machining process was done for our client, Harley Davidson. In the inspection I would also inspect parts, prior to their shipment to polishing and or plating vendors outside MPC, on a daily basis to ensure that the dimensions, after plating and polishing would still met the customers’ specs via CMM machine, working drawings, and with various manual gages. Also met periodically with management to discuss solutions should any machining problems on the production floor arise. Was trained as an internal ISO auditor.
Highland Tank, Manheim, PA. 8/2000 – 11/2001
Inside Sales & Estimating
Duties included helping customers with the proper selection of storage tanks needed to fit their needs. After taking a sales call, I would estimate the material selection, labor and delivery costs of the constructed tanks for the customer. All technical questions were answered, for the customer, in selection and design of atmospheric tanks and ASME coded pressure vessels, in both carbon and stainless steel.

Duties included overseeing production and scheduling of reworks and designing additional cabinetry to fill customers’ needs and orders. Involved in management task force to eliminate problems and speed up the production processes.

Production & Process Engineer
Duties included the monitoring and overseeing the production of the TF-33 1st stage turbine vane for the U.S. government, in which was assigned to work closely with the contracted U.S. Government quality representative. As a Product Engineer, was in charge of overseeing the production of nine various turbine blades for General Electric. Was a member of a team, for the implementation of the ISO 9002 certification at this facility. My position also entailed quality assurance and product review.
