The objective of the project was to migrate the all LTC applications running on Prudential server to Capgemini server. One of the iteration was to migrate existing interfaces (upstream/downstream) that are processed using the INSPRO RDB database for Prudential long term care into CHCS-Capgemini server.

First Health is automated and currently maintains the Medicaid and Medicare system for the State of Nevada, Alaska and Virginia. The Medicaid is a health insurance policy put into effect by the government of USA under which every state is required to provide the citizens who are below a certain income level with medical benefits free of cost.
The system verifies, adjudicates and processes the claims submitted by the service through five subsystems namely, Provider, Recipient, Claims, Financial and Referential. The application also allows the users for online change and inquiry of the various Medical benefits and Packages they can avail. It also allows the Medicaid authorities to enter new Plans.

Worked on COBOL Modernization, where COBOL programs were converted from older versions to newer versions by using new processor group CO3B for Provider, Claims, Finance, Reference and MARS sub-system.
Worked on DARS reports, where the reports generated in the application were sent to DARS system for printing. Due to inconsistency there were some reports which failed to load into DARS. These inconsistencies were corrected and modules were standardized as a part of this project.
