My primary duty was reconciling the university’s labor budgets campus-wide to the General Ledger. The accounting systems were on-line with the University of California and the State of California. For data analysis, financial and statistical materials were downloaded onto Excel.

Initiated Sutter Health benchmarking system for the corporate area; Memorial Hospitals (Modesto and Los Banos), Mercy Community Hospital, and Sutter-Tracy Hospital. Originally, I was hired to create performance reports of various medical and medical-related departments at the request of the CFO or COO. The performas were mainly produced on Excel.

Reconciliation of the General Ledger and multiple bank accounts, and supervising the Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, and Payroll technicians’ assignments were my daily responsibilities. I posted the entry preparation to the General Ledger after review and adjusting journal entries independently, answered questions during the labor union audits and from the outside Certified Public Accountant.
