EXPERIENCE

Wagner industrial Solutions Elgin, IL

Contract position using AutoCad to complete plant layouts for new demonstration Laboratories located at their existing facility in Elgin and a new facility near Charleston SC. This involved the placement of spray booths, robots, curing ovens, powder cyclones with collectors and the layout of the overhead conveyors for both locations.

Mechanical Designer May, 2014 – April, 2017

EFS (Engineered Finishing Systems) Crystal Lake, IL

Used both Inventor and AutoCad Mechanical software in the design of powder coating systems. This involved laying out different conveyor systems, which would carry parts through various stations that would apply either powder paint or a porcelain finish to the customer’s part.

After customer approval I would be involved in the design and detailing of the different components including washer systems, drying and cure ovens, cooling tunnels, sheet metal ductwork for HVAC and environment rooms for the application of finish.

Used Inventor iParts, iAssemblies and iLogic to create controllable part drawings to be used in the EFS standard library.

Machine Designer May, 2011 – February, 2014

Used both Inventor and AutoCad Mechanical software in the design of machinery used in the production of asphalt roofing shingles.

Areas of the equipment I was involved with included delivery belt systems, drive systems, stackers, tension control, asphalt metering equipment and different types of material applicators.

Involved in several line drive upgrades to existing equipment, this would include trips to the customer’s plant to measure and document existing equipment, design any brackets or components required, ordering gearboxes and drive components as needed.

Provide engineering support to the manufacturing plant in Fort Smith, AK

Used SolidWorks and Anvil Express Cad software to design new products and revise existing items based on feedback from marketing, customer service and manufacturing.

Tested new and existing products and components for function and reliability.

Involved in the design, prototyping and testing of several new products. The most significant design released was a wooden pole fall restraint utility belt that was unveiled at the ICUEE show October 2009.

Handled all customer contact regarding the sales of standard and custom-made Lubick industrial trailers. Customers included Delphi Automotive, Boeing, GM and Caterpillar.
