This includes, but is not limited to, applying the appropriate holds to testing as needed, attaching paperwork received to the correct patient record, and documenting any issues with the specimen and/or paperwork.

Ensure specimen integrity; that the labels on the specimens coincide with the paperwork provided, and internally generated accession numbers are affixed to the correct specimen.

Contact clients and/or patients to confirm discrepant information, and maintain both personal and department shared follow up work lists.

Comply with all laboratory safety requirements, including wearing the appropriate PPE.
