At Hallmark Cards Nederland, we follow the Agile methodology using Microsoft’s TFS System to keep track of all our tasks, bugs, discussions etc. We work in 2 weeks sprints keeping in touch with the Nederland every day. I am constantly checking with our partners by using the English language, the environment is pleasant and very friendly for R&D as well

The team works for the current product by generally using Microsoft technologies. We use tools such as Visual Studio 2015/2017 with ReSharper, SSMS, SQLPrompt, Fiddler, Postman and others. The most important pillars of our product are WebApi, Asp.NET MVC (with C#), Azure, ORM (LLBL), T-SQL, jQuery, HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap

I also successfully coordinated a team within an important project for the company aimed to add a new “My Account” module to the Hallmark product. Likewise, I created from scratch a desktop application, including the design of the entire architecture. This app has been deployed in Hallmark shops putting to work the latest concepts such as S.O.L.I.D., Repositories, Units of Work, asynchronous programming, Task Parallel Library, Entity Framework, SQLite, WPF.

I extended the search functionality with gifts (besides the pre-existing search in cards) by using Azure Search, I also designed and implemented backend jobs for different business purposes: generating reports and automatically transferring them via SFTP to Hallmark servers, unsubscribing users from newsletters, exporting limited customers data, exporting statistics etc

As a senior engineer I refactored one of the most sensible parts of the entire product: the pricing module. I did propose various solutions / designs on various challenges the product is facing, and there were took into consideration as well. For instance, the cancelation of items from an order normally represents an easy job, but things are turning to complex when the order was part of a promotion where some items of the shopping cart had reduced prices. I proposed a mathematical formula, documented accordingly, which fixed all flaws from all existing and future promotions

Also, as a senior engineer, I am mentoring 2 juniors on different matters such as: the C# language, MVC, client-server architecture, HTTP protocol and others. I am offering them support by having quality discussions on subjects and providing them with selective resources from Pluralsight, MSDN and MDN etc

I had the chance to apply my knowledge using state of the art concepts, design patterns and coding standards while working on multiple projects of different types, from SaaS (Software as a Service) to web portals

I engineered in various business domains (financial field, pensions schemes, online marketing) by using technologies such: Microsoft’s WCF, Asp.Net MVC and WebApi, Google’s Angular, Twitter’s Bootstrap, NodeJS with Typescript. The applications goals were very diverse, from payment services for the online content, to pension schemes management or easy-to-use management tools for advertising publishers worldwide. For instance, I implemented the 3DSecure protocol in a financial platform similar to PayPal, worked on Single-Sign-On in a suite of multiple websites as part of the same product, designed and implemented various parts of a versatile product from Front- End to Back-End, including web services.

As a team, we developed applications with enriching new features, added new unit and integration tests across multiple layers; the projects evolvement was based on code reviews and Continuous Integration practices using integration tools like Jenkins for automatic deployment on different environments

I have added many contributions to the main product of the French Company known for the software development in the Healthcare field. The full package contained both the Hardware and Software dedicated for the medical staff and for patients. The Romanian team developed the main software running on these touch terminals which may be found in Belgian, French and Canadian Hospitals

This application was acting as an Operating System by offering the patients the possibility of spending their time doing activities like: browsing the Internet, talking via Skype or through the attached phone of the terminal, watching videos and IP TV, listening to radio or music, reading documents, books, all at the patient’s bedside. These terminals were interactively helping patients by reminding them to take the prescribed medication as well

I developed standalone modules using WPF and WCF such as the modern looking MultiTab Browser, the Skype integration, IP TV subtitles and others. I also added improvements in areas like Security, Folder Browsing, the Inter-Process-Communication module. and contributed to the architecture of the system
