Engineering Projects:
Helical Gear Shaft Analyses
Performed external and internal load analyses to determine if the shaft is adequate to use in an analogous design consisting of a mechanical clutch along with two bearings and a spur gear.
Lift and Drag of an NACA 6412 airfoil using CFD software
Applied ANSYS to simulate the airfoil as a plane at 25,000 feet to compute lift and drag effects.
CFD analysis of a hydraulic control circuit
Utilized Star-CCM+ to create a colored 3D representation depicting varying pressure and velocity distributions of oil flow inside the component.
High discharge static pressure Centrifugal Fan
Created a 12-blade centrifugal fan with SolidWorks for use as a ventilation system in an industrial building by implementing principles of turbomachinery design.
Thermal power plant generation system
Developed a schematic of a power plant generation system for a utility company that could deliver 400+ megawatts of power to a local community.
Snow/Ice Melting LED Traffic Light
Built a prototype of a traffic light that could supply enough heat and power to melt an accumulation of ice or snow covering the lamps of the traffic light to prevent obstruction of drivers views in hazardous weather conditions.
