2460 Cana Court, Lafayette, CO 80026 • *****.********@********.*** • 303-***-**** LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/aprildanderson • Portfolio: aanderso5923.wix.com/aprilanderson-resume My name is April Anderson, and I am a Supply Chain Specialist. I graduated from the University of Colorado- Boulder with a dual degree in operations management and marketing. While I have only been working in supply chain for a little under 2 years, I know that my experience and education puts me in a good position to pick up material quickly. My work experience through college has facilitated the development of transferrable skills that I believe make me a high-quality contributor in the work place. For six years, I worked for the YMCA of Boulder Valley. I was an Assistant Director for a school age program, which helped me develop my leadership skills. My time at the Y taught me the value of being a friendly, polite, and positive team member, allowing me to excel at building relationships. Through my school projects, I had to focus on being consistent and reliable, and articulately communicate and meet deadlines. These projects helped me gain experience in project management, creating annual marketing plans, creating professional business reports, and dealing/communicating with clients. In my senior year, I interned for ShipCompliant where I created and managed marketing content, and learned to operate the marketing software in order to generate new leads. I am currently working for American Blue Ribbon Holdings as a Senior Sourcing Specialist. This job has allowed me to gain experience in vendor management, category management, contract/pricing negotiation, project management, and building interdepartmental relationships. I have worked for industry expert Mark Hampton for over a year and a half now, and I have learned so much from him about what it takes to make a successful supply chain team. Projects that I am actively working on are a Paper Products and Disposables Review, Smallwares Review, as well as many side projects involving our culinary, marketing and operations teams. In my reviews, I am taking a deep look into every Distribution Center order guide, all vendors and all items, so that I can consolidate vendors, and eliminate unnecessary items. This will make each order guide uniform for all stores, and allow me to leverage these changes to negotiate better pricing to create a major savings for the company. For me, these projects are not just work; they intrigue me because I have a genuine interest in creating a more organized and profitable system for the company. I think you will find that my education in both marketing and operations management provide me with a fresh and helpful perspective. My interests currently lie more on the managerial and operations/supply chain side, but I know that those skills can be useful in any industry. I would love nothing more than to experience a company culture where I look forward to going to work every day, I am a contributor that adds value, and I am a part of a happy and healthy team. I am a person who is willing to do, learn, and try anything to grow both personally and professionally. I am extremely grateful for your review and I would love the opportunity to speak with you further. I look forward to hearing from you. Please let me know if you need references.
