I wrote the recipes in which the operators would follow in order to treat the waste to bring it to a neutral state and get it to LDR limits for final burial/or disposal. I pulled samples from treated waste and sent them to LABS for verification that waste met LDR. I was in charge of ordering all the chemicals needed to treat the waste and ensured all MSDS’s were available for all chemicals on site.

Mowing the lawns, pruning bushes, pulling volunteers, clipping roses, fertilizing, planting. Ensured proper PPE was worn and on correct RWP for the day. Was also presented with the opportunity of being sent to New Horizons Educational Center in Salt Lake City, UT to be enrolled in a 3 month course on Radiological Control and Radiation Protection techniques.
