A maintenance and bodywork shop for high-end and muscle cars.

Biomedical Engineering Manager

Directed the daily operations of the facility’s biomedical engineering department, including repair and maintenance programs and the department’s equipment management information system (AIMS). Managed a staff that comprised 9 technicians and one secretary, including supervision, leadership, mentoring, and education, and controlled an annual budget worth $1.6 million.

tSaved the facility approximately $200,000 by negotiating the final contract price on a new medical communication system to 30% below lowest bid.

tSuccessfully converted a catheterization lab into a renal dialysis unit, enabling the center to perform dialysis in-house and cancel its contract with an outside dialysis vendor.

Collaborated with the renal network to ensure facilitation of all departmental activities and efficient resource allocation in keeping with the goals of the unit’s quality assessment and performance improvement program.

tHelped design a 35-station dialysis unit that increased revenue by $1.1 million

tAchieved both JCAHO and state approval for the biomedical program.

tImproved dialysis water treatment systems throughout unit by installing a new reverse osmosis system and centralizing water treatment to all 35 dialysis units that improved processes and saved labor by eliminating the need for technicians to manually fill multiple bicarbonate and acid jugs.
