My background includes responsibilities as a Business Unit Manager of two business units. My daily responsibilities included the coaching of 5 Supervisors with the direction of more than 70 Team Members in a 3 shift operation to perform their work safely, to build a quality product in a timely manner.

I was a member of the Environmental, Health and Safety Committee with an emphasis on creating safe work practices and maintain a safe work place. I worked closely with the Quality Team to assure regular quality checks were completed. Additionally, I supported quality concern investigations, and implemented corrective actions and process changes as needed. I was also involved in the certification process for ISO 9001 and the yearly recertification process.

My team and I met daily with the Customer Service / Sales department to communicate order lead times and customer’s order status and modified scheduling of new orders when necessary. I collaborated interactively with the Engineering Department on new product development and process changes. I worked with the Human Resource Department to communicate staffing requirements, evaluations and any corrective or disciplinary actions that were required as dictated by employee handbook.

I was a member of the Operational Management Team which met weekly to review company / departmental performances as it related to company goals and objectives. I wrote capital requests proposals to support Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing for presentation to the Executive Management and Shareholders team.
