This CNG project for COTA was managed to keep the project budget on target. Tracked all project costs, and updated on a continuous basis all potential costs. Kept the project scope clearly at the forefront of the project team and made decisions in harmony with the scope. Provided recommendations to upper management for the overall assessment of the project execution. Diligently apprehended the contract documents and what was included within the documents. Created the project schedule, assessed and revised with the contractor and provided final working document. Additional scope items were added to the schedule as necessary. Worked with the appropriate staff and stakeholders to ensure the work was properly coordinated to ensure operational efficiency. All change orders were thoroughly reviewed and scrutinized before being submitted to COTA.

Construction Manager – Food Tech (EMCOR)

August 2016 – May 2017.

Big Apple – Freezer/Cooler, the addition on the main building added the capabilities to deep freeze various food products and to store refrigerated products in the cooler side of the structure. Coordinated and oversaw completion of construction activities in all phases. Managed the entire process of the construction phase of the project. Managed and assessed the contractor performances. Reviewed and validated all pay applications for full or partial payment. Managed and maintained the project schedule.

Dennis Paper and Food Service – Freezer/Cooler, the addition on the primary freezer warehouse construction was under my supervision, management and was completed on time. Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies, Doha

The Qatar Faculty for Islamic Studies (QFIS) project consists of a large building structure of seven levels: two basement levels, a ground floor and four upper floors. There is a grand total of ‘709’ rooms or areas within the building structure. The structure provides space for an academic area, a mosque, two minarets and a car park. As Resident Engineer for the construction management and supervision of the construction works, responsible to work in harmony with the PM for the client, the contractor, the various managers in each discipline, senior management staff, as well as the discipline engineers for the client. There were at the peak of construction over 2,700 construction workers on site. Reviewed and approved shop drawings and submittals. Coordinated and supervised the completion of construction activities in all phases. Managed the multi-national team for all stakeholders and established the expectations throughout the course of the project. Prepared and distributed the project communications with client, management, project teams and stakeholders. Managed the tenant fit out. Conducted technical reviews and reviewed proposals and change requests. Reviewed and validated invoices for partial or full payment of requests.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Construction Surveillance – USIS, INC (Stuttgart, Germany) 2013 – 2014

Conversion of a facility to a SCIF project, Stuttgart, Germany

QA/QC, Construction Surveillance. The end user was AFRICOM as part of the SPAWAR initiative through DOD. This project included extensive QA/QC for construction and surveillance for preventative measures taken in the construction of this top secret project. Provided the necessary reporting (weekly project status reports) to the end user and updated the hard and soft reporting mechanisms for this project to the client. Participated in the top secret security reporting devices for the duration of the project. This project was also a LEED endeavor. Project Scope: US$13M.

Logistics / Administration, QA/QC, Security – THE LOUIS BERGER GROUP, INC (Seoul, Korea) August 2012 – August 2013

Warehouse conversion project to a SCIF, secure office space, K-16, Seoul

This project was in support of the USACE, with FED and the end user was DIA, as part of a DOD initiative. As the QA/QC for the RFIT’s, RFS’s, NCR’s, NCN’s, SDR’s, Monthly Status Reports, and monthly Pay Requests were produced and submitted to the Army Corps of Engineers. As part of a construction security team, managed the logistical and administration components of the project. This responsibility involved submitting monthly status reports containing activities, training, quality, and equipment utilized on the site and relevant to the security portion of the project as well as planning and proactively engaging the logistical elements of the project. This endeavor was a LEED project. Project Scope: US$12M.

Construction Manager – THE LOUIS BERGER GROUP, INC (Del Bonita, Montana, USA) April 2011 – August 2012

Border Crossing Station, LPOE, for CBP, Del Bonita, Montana

As a construction manager, provided construction management support to review, schedule, track, and assist the CBP PM in high profile, high priority construction of this LEED project. He provided CBP PM with coordination of all project interface points between government related installation activities and the contractors. He facilitated planning sessions with D/B contractor, led quality assurance, documented means and methods, developed pro forma, worked on coordinating civil, structural, electrical, photovoltaics, and mechanical components, identified any issue which could potentially cause impact to scope and worked with the project team to resolve the issue. Worked on the construction schedule and look ahead schedule,construction, and budget. Managed the tenant fit out. He provided monthly status reports, submittals, project risk assessments, schedule look ahead, and field recommendations to the D/B contractor. Project Scope: US$11M.

Veterinary Medical Center, Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio

Conducted assessment of a small data center, analyzed information gathered and published in a final report and Power point presentation. The work included: a description of the room’s current layout based on interior observations and document review; list of equipment; estimate of each room’s current electrical power, UPS, HVAC, and heat load; description of the Uptime Institute’s Tier system; recommendations on how to upgrade the data room’s performance. Project Scope: US$700K.
