Sheet Metal Drawing Operation
Fundamentals Of Manufacturing Processes Project, VIT University
Drawing is a sheet metal forming operation used to make cup-shaped, box-shaped, or other complex-curved and concave parts.
It is performed by placing a piece of sheet metal over a die cavity and the pushing the metal into the opening with a punch.
This simple working model was done by using foil paper as sheet metal and wooden die cavity and punch.
Flow simulation on a Wind Mill inside a tunnel
Design of Machine Elements Project, VIT University
This project done in Solidworks Software studies the effect of flow of air over the wind mill and how different parameters effect the wind mill differently.
It shows which part of the wind mill is subjected to more stress.
Automated Pump Switch-off System
Hardware Project, VIT University
A system which resolves the problem of water wastage by automatically switching off the pump after the tank is completely filled.
Basic working principle of a flush was incorporated.
Fabricated a prototype of the setup successfully.
Low Cycle Fatigue Characterization of Spark Electrical Discharge Machined Inconel 718 Alloy
Final Year Project, VIT University
Specimens of Inconel 718 was fabricated using Spark EDM process.
Fatigue life of each specimen was measured.
It was found that the fatigue life decreased when the current used increased.
This is because when the current increases, the surface roughness increases which results in low fatigue life.
