Junior Utility & Production Engineer from December 2009 till January 2011 DAILY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As Maintenance Engineer :

According to procedures of TPM and maintenance department in ISO9001

Prepare and update the equipment list for whole parts of production lines

Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods according to TPM ( 5 S + 8 Pillars )

Prepare preventive maintenance schedule (PM) to be executed daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly etc.

Prepare documents to deal with any corrective maintenance (CM)

Responsible for any electrical or mechanical malfunctions in the factory.

Condition monitoring is in progress to be activated

Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs Improving health and safety policies and procedures

Diagnosing breakdown problems in PLC’s (Hardware & software), Drives, Inverters and classic control

Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly

Carrying out quality inspections on jobs

Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs

Analyse the time, cost, quality and resources during fixing the error and weight the results (KPI’s)

Liaising with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues

Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components

As Production Engineer :

According to procedures of production department in ISO9001

Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to fulfil the production plans

Organizing schedules for production and working shifts

Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping

Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results;

Increase productivity, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards

Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions

Collect and analyse data to find places of waste or overtime;

Commit to plant safety procedures;

Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets

Manage and train the factory staff

MAINTENANCE

Designed, installed and still maintain water, drainage & fire fighting networks of the factory.

Installed all power cables which feed (Production Lines, Auxiliary machines, management buildings, security offices, Pumps control rooms, Chillers, Rests).

Designed Automatic control boards for:

1-Fire alarm system with position identification (was required for ISO14001). 2-Safety system for water leakage in pumps control room (was required for ISO14001). 3-Indication lamps for water pumps, fire pumps and chillers. 4-Controlling the factory gates automatically providing electrical interlock. 5-Indication lamps for air conditions in all management buildings. 6-Automatic night lighting for all the external area of factory (was required for ISO14001). 7-Made editions in the control board and components of chillers because of our piping design. 8-Control board for the lathe in the factory.

Manufactured new winder ( part of production line ) for the production line in the factory

Increased the productivity of two production lines in the factory up to the double rate

Maintenance of the power Drives ABB DCS-400 of production lines

Maintenance of the Inverters (Danfoss, LG and LS of production lines

Maintenance of PLC’s Siemens S7-300 of production lines and took a software back up to PC

PRODUCTION

Made the commissioning of whole the production lines

Understood the knowhow of this industry and made procedures to ease processes

Recorded practical productivity for each production line and made variance with ideal one

Made feasibility study by using practical productivity

Made risk analysis for any variable with Decision Tree and Tornado methods

Trained all technicians according to procedures and categorized efficiency by variance methods

Formed efficient staff from zero background about this industry

Reduced costs to minimum by making resources at thresholds point and searched for another suppliers
