ACADEMIC PROJECT

M. Tech Project: Black Hole Detection and security in Manets using Artificial Neural Networks

Description: Black hole attack is a well-known security threat in mobile ad hoc networks. In recent years, different approaches have been implemented to improve the security of MANETs. The aim of this is to design a mechanism of black hole detection based on artificial neural networks (ANNs). Using a simulated MANET environment, AN Modeling for detecting the black hole attack is investigated and it is showed that it can detect nodes under black hole attack effectively.

M. Tech Mini-Project: Salient Region Detection And Segmentation Description: A novel method to determine salient regions in images using low-level features of luminance and colour. The method is fast, easy to implement and generates high quality saliency maps of the same size and resolution as the input image. We demonstrate the use of the algorithm in the segmentation of semantically meaningful whole objects from digital images.

B. E Project: Weapon Authentication Using Palm Print Description: A system designed to prevent people from accessing firearms such as guns or pistols of an authorized person, so that the fire arms are not misused. There must be a license period for the fire arms and these license period say for 1year is entered in the embedded micro processor fitted in the firearm.
