Duties: All the above HR positions included similar duties. I have managed teams of 3 – 17. I have administered pension and benefits, grievances and all documents associated with employee recruitment and terminated. I have completed payroll both manually and in automated formats and have administered all changes required to both reconcile the payroll and ensure proper payment of employees. I have dealt with grievance discussion, employee relations, Human Rights and MOL investigations, WSIB claim management, attendance management and return to work programs. I have chaired Job Evaluation and Health and Safety committees. I have developed both long and short range departmental plans and have been accountable for the budget of my department and the employee relations departments of companies. I have provided collective agreement training to management and senior management and soft skill training to supervisors and employees. I have reviewed and revised policies and procedures and facilitated their successful roll out and implementation. I have worked with the First Nations on the North Shore of Lake Huron to revamp their offices, their job descriptions and delegation of duties as well as conducted strategic planning for their health departments.
When I have not obtained a contract with an organization, I have returned to consulting through my own company Mediation I.N.C. I have also designed and delivered numerous training programs to clients all over Ontario.
