Responsibilities included account management of existing/prior customers, prospecting for new customers and projects by utilizing IIR subscription data bases and doing internet researches for industry trade group member listings. Company headquarters and factory are in Schopfheim,Germany.

Responsibilities included business development, managing and training independent sales representatives, coordinating proposals with factory engineering people, attending trade shows and industry seminars, and doing presentations at major engineering companies engaged in world-wide large-scale new-plant projects. The assigned territory included the U.S. Gulf Coast States of TX, LA, OK, AR, and MS. CRM and industrial data base subscriptions were utilized for developing, tracking, and managing new and existing projects. Extensive travel of 50-60%.

PAUL MUELLER COMPANY, INC - Springfield, MO - November 2004 to December 2009 Sales, business development, and major account management for U.S. East Coast. Responsible for business development, overseeing proposal preparation, negotiating customer purchase contracts and closing the sale of custom engineered fermentation and other product processing systems used in the Biopharm industry. Product line also included high purity (injection grade) WFI water generation and distribution/storage systems for the Biopharma and Pharmaceutical industries. Sales orders ranged from $50,000 to multi- million dollar contracts. Customers included top 20 Pharmaceutical and Biotech manufacturers, as well as medium size biotech and R&D companies. In 11/2009, I was informed that Paul Mueller Company intended to sell off the pure water products line and to discontinue manufacturing of custom engineered and fabricated bioreactor and other systems to the Biopharmaceutical industry. Consequently, with the elimination of these product lines, the four region Biopharm Sales Engineer positions were eliminated.

GEA Group develops centrifuge processing technologies for biotech cell culture processing and other industries. Responsible for new business development and sales to customers in the biotech, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Activities included coordinating field testing, business development, attending trade shows and seminars, systems specifications, writing proposals, and negotiating sales agreements, and coordinating startups. Customers included Merck, DuPont, BMS, Glaxo, HGS, Aventis Pasteur, and Medimmune.


ALLOY PRODUCTS CORP - Waukesha, WI - April 1999 to April2000 Alloy Products designs and fabricates high purity type pressure vessels in various alloys for the pharmaceutical, biopharm, semiconductor, and food industries. Responsible for business development and major account management of customers from Maine to Florida, and overseeing the management of several independent representatives within the territory.

FRYMA, INC - Edison, NJ - January 1996 to April 1999 Fryma Inc., a subsidiary of a medium size Swiss owned and operated company, provided process technology and equipment to the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Food, and Chemical industries. Responsibilities included developing projects from initial consultations with customers, arranging for laboratory testing, specifying equipment to meet process requirements, writing up proposals, negotiating commercial terms and closing sales orders.


UNIVERSAL PROCESS EQUIPMNT, INC - Robbinsville, NJ - May 1992 to January 1996 Universal marketed and sold used, rebuilt and new process equipment and plants to the Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Food, Environmental, Paper, Plastics, Electric Power, and other industries.
