Duties include review and assessment of patients every two months for requalification for Medicare/Medicaid to maintain status for Hospice. Assessment of Family and patient relationship, how are they tolerating the terminal illness, review of signs/symptoms of progressive illness, review s/s of acute illness in case patient needs antibiotics, they are to call if fever, decreased intake of fluids/food, any change of mentation, etc. Age of patients were almost all elderly or >60 years of age.
