Also, assures F2F visits completed timely and documentation reflects appropriateness for hospice.
Will implement corporate policies, procedures and guidelines and assures program is operating in compliance with federal, state, and local policies.
Will make field visits at least weekly to contracted facilities to ensure hospice service provided appropriate for each shared resident, also participates in community education at all contracted facilities, in addition to ALF/Independent/Group Homes. Maintain facility contract and annual evaluation and education.
Responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the organization, providing controls to ensure accurate and appropriate use of organizational funds.

Will work under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer and QAPI Coordinator who advises and assures high quality hospice clinical programs. In addition, ensures compliance with all federal, state and local and corporate quality improvement regulations and/or policies and procedures, serving on agency QAPI committees quarterly.
Participate in chart audits and reports findings to QAPI Coordinator. Under the director of the QAPI Coordinator work closely with ADON to assure all documentation is complete and accurate. Collect and monitor all aspects of QAPI reports- infections, complaints, volunteer hours, bereavement, on call, etc. sending to QAPI coordinator for review and oversight. Facilitate upward and downward communication. Will make weekly field visits to facilities where hospice patients reside assuring patients’ needs are being met. Also provide supervision of hospice staff to ensure professional, courteous care is being provided according to individual plans of care. Along with ADON assure clinical team availability 24 hrs a day to respond to patient and family needs, with administrator oversite. Responds to patient needs when families calling into office and communicates to appropriate clinician. Assure patients receive medications and DME as appropriate to their individual needs. Lead daily Stand up calls/meeting relaying patient needs from previous evening/night and communicates follow up to appropriate staff as needed.
Stay informed about changes in the field of nursing and hospice care; shares information with appropriate staff members by completing monthly in services both educational and informative. Responsible for implementation of corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines. This is done through in services, communication binder and online. Demonstrate support of the corporate mission (by actions and attitude) the policies and procedures assuring consistent compliance within the program. Clinical Director Duties:
Responsible for supervision of all clinical staff assuring visits/documentation is accurate and timely and is in accordance to individual plan of care. The Clinical Director ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local and corporate quality improvement regulations and or policies of Compassionate Care Hospice are followed, including CHAPS requirements. The Clinical Director oversees patient care assuring patient's receive exceptional care by all disciplines by making field visits to facilities and ride along with staff. The Clinical Director leads IDT assuring all patient/family needs addressed and plan of care updated.
The Clinical Director works closely with Medical Director and RN case managers to re-certify patients and assuring F2F completed timely and available for review at IDT. The Clinical Director takes supervisory on call responsibilities.
In conjunction with the ED the Clinical Director assures all employees adhere to educational requirements, including new hire orientation and mentoring.
