Ashwa Racing JAN’15-PRESENT

India's premier Formula SAE team, participating out of R.V College of Engineering, Bangalore. Formula SAE event is one where SAE student members conceive, design, fabricate and compete with other similar formula-style racing cars. Formula SAE represents the very pinnacle of motorsport for the student community and it attracts participants of the highest calibre, from major universities around the world.

Brakes Design Engineer, Head of Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Infrastructure.

• Lead and trained a team of 10 in the Brakes, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Infrastructure function of the project for over 2 years.

• Designed, manufactured and assembled the brakes and clutch system of the car using Solidworks for modelling.

• Generated project timeline and strategized the procurement of raw material & OEMs, the transportation of raw materials to and from the supporting industries and managed the manufacturing and operations with the supporting industries to reduce the lead time to assemble the car by 30%.

• Planned and handled the Supply Chain and Logistics activities of the project and saved close to 40% in logistics cost through supply chain network designs.

• Worked towards securing long term relations with logistics partner companies.

• Scouted for Industry Partners for the project and brought in sponsorship in tune with 20% of the budget.

• Drafted the Project Management Plan for the event which included project planning, project structure, and project execution.

• Designed and fabricated the shipping crate with the help from Bhumiputra Architecture which was used for shipping of the prototype and spares to the events.

• Developed the infrastructure of the workshop in order to improve material handling, material control and effectively utilize the resources which included people, equipment, space, and energy.

• Took care of daily operations in the workshop and ensured a safe and quality environment for working inside the workshop. EXTRA CURRICULAR AND VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES

Formula Bharat: Ground Operations JAN’16

• Assisted the logistics department for setting and managing the event.

• Conducted brake tests of each vehicle to make sure all four wheels lock when car brakes and verify car/driver can remain in control of the straight line.

• Responsible for the operating aspects of the events like Timing & Scoring, Flagger, Driver Gear Inspection and Staging Queue.

• Ensured safety of the hot pits area, including safe use of power tools.

• Assisted in forming line-ups, performed runner duties and other on calls. Maheshwari Hostel: Committee Member AUG’16-PRESENT

• Organized various social events like Clean Up Drive, Paper Drive, Alumni convention, Quiz and debate competition.

• Organized Blood Donation Campaign in tie up with Indian Red Cross Society.

• Organized UTKARSH’16, a cultural event at Maheshwari Hostel which attracted more than 200 guests. ACHIEVMENTS

• Represented RV College of Engineering and stood 2nd at the Formula Hybrid 2017 which was held in United States of America and had attracted over 150 participants from around the world showcasing their racing prototypes. MAY’17
