World’ s fifth largest family owned automotive supplier with over 25,000 employees at 60 locations in 23 countries. Brose designs and produces electric motors and drives and mechatronic systems for doors and seats for over 80 automotive manufacturers and 40 suppliers. Brose Belvidere Plant is a JIS supplier to FCA Assembly Plant in Belvidere, IL.

Materials and Logistics Planner:

Manage and control the flow of over 140 components to meet production demands and customer lead times.

Monitor and manage inventory levels to reduce on hand inventory for space savings and to better control for no obsolescence in the event of a model year changeover or program build outs.

Monitor the forecast and broadcast releases from FCA, create planning schedules to accurately send out releases to our suppliers.

Review GECOs to process the creation of new level material numbers, MRP views, customer scheduling agreements and supplier blanket orders.

Send EDIs to All suppliers and Create ASNs to receive in the materials from domestic suppliers as well as the references to receive in the materials from overseas suppliers.

Develop and manage control cycles for the material flow within the warehouse and between the warehouse and the production locations.

Organize and manage conference calls with the suppliers to discuss requirements, back orders, deadlines, best transportation options and resolutions to the critical delivery situations.

Develop and manage transportation plan, work closely with the carriers on consolidation of freights for logistics cost savings.

Review and approve invoices of goods and service receipts for finance department to process payments.

Review daily logistics department KPIs and report to the management.

Review Mopar service requirements, prepare component lists and packaging instructions for production to process service parts.

Accomplishments:

Developed a new transportation plan for Canadian Suppliers by combining 2 freights together on the same truck which resulted in annual $31,200 savings in logistics costs.

Developed a new transportation plan by combining a Texas freight (which used to be LTL before) with 2 Mexico freights in Laredo, TX to reduce 2 LTLs per week from Laredo, TX to Belvidere, IL which resulted in annual $21,600 savings in logistics costs.

Reduced on hand inventory levels by decreasing the GR times as a result of better combinations in transportation plan.

UNICARRIERS AMERICAS CORPORATION, Marengo IL 9/14/2016 – 6/16/2017

American Company that designs, produces and supports a complete line of material handling equipment, with over 500 employees in Marengo, IL.

Materials Supervisor: Directed a team of 35+ material coordinators in warehouse operations such as shipping, receiving, picking, replenishment, inventory accuracy and control.
