Provided strategic planning, development and implementation of mid-sized bank’s technology systems. Researched new technology and provided detailed gap and budget analysis to recommend solutions to department directors and executive management. Worked adeptly with regulatory compliance and audit departments. Provided confident updates and recommendations to senior management and board of directors. Mentored and trained new project managers in the PMO processes and procedures. Designed, coordinated and implemented IT Business Continuity plans across the Woodforest Enterprise.

Key Achievements and Highlights:

Overhauled Woodforest IT Business Continuity Strategy and Operations. Developed and identified emergency management plans for recovery decisions and communications. Responsible for continuity of critical IT departmental processes to ensure continuity of operations and governance principles.

Successfully transitioned Woodforest debit card platform from a third-party provider to an in-house system, including creation of a fully developed fraud and dispute management tool. Working under an aggressive 18-month timeline and strict audit guidelines, developed a comprehensive project plan coordinating 7 internal departments and moving over 1 million debit card users to a new platform. Performed contract negotiations for software and training, managed the RFP process and gave recommendations on final software application. Successful completion saved the company an estimated $320,000 per month.

Managed multiple migrations of Woodforest’s Data Center from a single location in Dallas to a co-located environment in Austin and then again to a Cyrus One’s new high capacity data center. Identified usable equipment, eliminated outdated equipment and purchased new equipment to create a state of the art Data Center housing over 200 virtual servers.

Led multi-year Enterprise SharePoint deployment; decreasing data storage, email attachment storage costs and document printing costs.

Developed and implemented Windows 10 physical and VM rollout to 700+ branches (5,000+ employees).
