I was responsible for plant operations of the Plastics department. This involves safety, hiring personnel, quality, ISO system use and Six Sigma projects that led to cost, quality and efficiency improvements.

. Lead/Involved with a team that produced 2009 & 2010 supplier of the year awards for Mercury Marine. (Our department’s primary customer)

. Implemented and created a 2nd shift for additional work awarded to our department from Mercury Marine.

. Worked and implemented 2 – Six Sigma projects through Crystal Finishing Systems and Mercury Marine.

-Reduce dirt contamination by 25% from the paint line.

Operations & Quality Manager

Polywood Fabrication Inc., Wausau, WI October 2002 – June 2008

I was responsible throughout my time at Polywood for all aspects of manufacturing of a high-end quality interior shutter produced and distributed nationwide. This includes coordination of two production shifts (10 hrs each), safety, hiring personnel, quality, process flow concepts, material optimization and cost reductions. All items listed were done with encouragement, leadership and good employee work teams to achieve these accomplishments.

. Establish a safety system that reduced injuries within the plant.

. Establish quality and production incentive programs that rewarded plant personnel on a quarterly basis.

. Established performance tracking systems to identify issues and reward good practices.

. Coordinated major production increases from business integration from having region manufacturing grouped into one national location.

. Quality incident rate in 2002 / 21.6% in-house issues to 2007 / 4.5%.

. Increased general product quantity for 500 shutters/shift to 1200 shutters/shift.

Alliance Laundry Systems / Speed Queen Company, Ripon, WI 1991 – 1999

. Worked on all development teams pertaining to all Ripon Plant and Electronic projects the company was involved with. This included many aspects such as: coordination of test sites and reporting the test results back to the team, reviewing customer and sales request to implement into the project definition, being a liaison between sales, manufacturing and engineering in getting these parties together towards the project goal.

This would include development of training classes, parts, warranty procedures and service manuals and technical troubleshooting guides for service people in the industry.

. Worked on phone service support for all commercial and industrial customers. This included wiring diagram troubleshooting, computer software support and general help to all customers who rang through on my phone.
