2.Project: National Grid – USFP-SAP-RELEASE3

Description:

National Grid went live with USFP-SAP system for back office operations (Supply Chain, Finance and HR) in November 2012. Associated business processes are expected to be completely stable when National Grid can efficiently and reliably deliver on its obligations to all stakeholders. Specifically, the company must accurately and timely pay its employees and vendors and honour it’s legal, regulatory and other reporting obligations on a timely and accurate basis.

With these objectives in mind, National Grid has initiated USFP Release 3.Wipro, a key partner to the US Foundation Program, is expected to contribute in Scoping, Process and Design and preparation of Functional Specifications.

Wipro is also responsible for delivering Technical Specifications, Build & Unit Testing, Assembly / Integration / Regression testing, supporting User Acceptance Testing, Cutover and Go-Live (including Post implementation stabilization, support and handover to application support).

Description:

The EMC Secure Remote Support (ESRS) provides a secure, IP-based, distributed remote service support solution giving the customers command, control, and visibility of remote support access. This is designed to be scalable and fault-tolerant, and to provide the customer with the most popular 3 A’s solution that is, Authentication, Authorization, and Audit logging control require to meet their security needs and to support their environment. I worked in this project with solutioning team and Project Approval Board to help ensure that initiative can be delivered and be run using these defined Project / Program execution models and hence aware of the quality processes.

Technical details: The ESRS Agent installed in the customer’s network allows secure transfer of the error and diagnostic information related to events on their EMC devices to be sent back to the EMC Customer Support Center. The secure data transfer mainly happens between the Agent/ESRS client at the customer location and Servicelink which resides at the EMC side.

1. Decision Support and Reporting Activities on one hand and 2. Futures Options and Exotics tasks of BP on other. I have opportunity to deal with critical front end applications like Trader Bonus and Product Price Set. Trader Bonus application involve awarding and analysing bonus, salary and variable payouts to traders, operators and other related employees in IST of BP as on Year End Process. Product Price Set system basically is web based application which is used to generate product price forecasts for the next six months which are used for production planning in refineries of Europe. This forecasting helps the oil traders of BP to decide which forecasts would benefit them.
