ACADEMIC PROJECT

MAIN PROJECT

TOPIC: “STUDY ON MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF CONCRETE USING HAIR FIBRE REINFORCED CONCRETE”

DESCRIPTION: The main value of our project is to overcome of micro-cracks in concrete using fiber material. So we choose fiber material as human hair. Human hair is strong in tension and it is non-degradable matter. It is available in abundance and at cheap cost. It also creates environmental problem for its decompositions. So present, studies has been undertaken to study the effect of human hair on plain cement concrete on the basis of compressive, crushing, flexural strength and cracking control to economize concrete and to reduce environmental problems. Experiments were conducted on concrete cubes with various percentages of human hair by weight of cement. After 7th and 28th day of curing, the cubes had been tested for compression and tensile strength and the readings are noted.

MINI PROJECT

TOPIC: “DESIGN AND ESTIMATION FOR A CIRCULAR OV`ERHEAD WATER TANK”

DESCRIPTION: Water is the essential basic requirement in our life. As the population increase the demand increase simultaneously. Hence it is necessary to improve the infrastructure to satisfy such needs. Our project located in the village panagudi, which has much population. There is no proper facilities to store and distribute water to the village people . So a group of civil engineering student decided to design and estimate for circular water tank and the project had been finished.
