Production Superintendent

Kentucky Truck Plant, Louisville, KY-2015-Present

• Production Superintendent at the Company’s highest volume manufacturing facility driving lean quality implementation process for this three-crew medium duty truck producer which is responsible for providing 25% of corporate earnings annually. Fully implemented quality operating systems throughout the shop resulting in launching the new aluminum Super Duty as levels equal to the outgoing truck. Trained a 1200 person hourly workforce in Ford Production System (340+ people on 3 crews), focusing on problem solving techniques and the implementation of employee quality teams focused on reducing process variation, waste elimination and improving capability.

• Responsible for the daily operations and measurables including safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale for crew responsible for producing 650 Super Duty trucks per shift.

• Responsible for the professional development of 6 process coaches.

Body Launch Leader-2009-2015

• Successfully managed and directed entire body shop process for 5 major new model launches, including launch budget development, component sourcing, facilities and tooling investment. With product development and process engineering, coordinated workforce training leading to delivery of production ready models on time and meeting budget.

• Coordinated sourcing of vehicle components and high-level sub-assemblies to supplier partners located in nearby industrial parks.

General Foreman/ Manufacturing Planning Specialist- 2003-2009

• Ran the floor operations for a 300 person hourly work force and 6 salaried personnel in a resistance welding shop building Super Duty, Expedition and Lincoln Navigator.

• Managed the vacation calendar for entire shop.

• Managed manpower and tooling to maximize throughput and meet the body shops daily objectives.

Line Supervisor- 2000-2003

• Ran every line in our body shop which includes, box, underbody, framing and metal.
