Verifying loop drawings, instrument location drawings etc.

Working Knowledge in fire & gas ESD system, Commissioning all Fire and Gas on Crude Oil processing plant and on Sour Gas Injection.

Cause and Effect checks carried out prior to startup of 650 bar 50% H2S Injection Compressor.

Provide technical support to platform team members where required

Carry out emergency response duties if required.

Knowledge in International Instrumentation standards and code

Work in the integrated instrumental intervention team during pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, start-up and operation of the refinery

Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tests and checks and solve problems on instrumentation

Undertake instruments maintenance and modifications under the instruction of the Instrumentation Superintendent or Engineers

Supervise loop checking performed by subcontractors and verify that the works are performed as per established procedure and goods industry practices within the required quality level

Carry out function tests

Maintain and update the instruments overrides records

Interface with other disciplines

Responsible for safety, safe working practices in all the areas under its control

Maintain a comprehensive log of the activities and report progress

Ensure that the works proceed in conformity with the schedule, and report any deviations

Duties and Responsibilities

Execute and monitor the maintenance activities of Instrument control system and Field Instrument. Activity Participating Of the Commissioning and maintenance. Preparation of Specification and Scope of Work for the Various Instruments and Reviewing the Vendor Documents Supervise a team of Foreman, Technicians, and supporting Technician in all Instrument Activity Participating Of the Commissioning and maintenance work like preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, loop checking, Function Test, Cause and Effect. Experience in Control Systems like PLC, DCS, SCADA, BMS, and HMI Systems, Honeywell, TDC 3000 Bentley Nevada 3500, Invensys, ABB, and HIMA System Etc.

Manpower handling, material planning and work scheduling

To Coordinate and Prioritize All Commissioning and Commissioning Works To Be Done According To the Planning and under PTW. Procedure Efficient Systematic Execution of Entire Instrumentation Responsible for performing calibration, Loop Check, Function Test, Cause and Effect. Experience in Emergency Shutdown Systems and Cause & Effect testing’s, Function Testing. Provide technical support to Operations Interface field team during facility commissioning and start-up.

Responsible for the preparation of control and instrument deliverables as required by assigned projects, including; detailed specifications, datasheets, instrument lists, IO schedules, cable schedules, cable block diagrams, termination drawings, hook-up drawings, layout drawings (e.g. instrument, lighting, F&G), cable/ladder layouts, cable routing drawings, bulk MTO’s and material requisitions. Responsible for quantity take-off, control, tracking, reporting and forecasting for electrical/instrumentation discipline.

Review and contribute to Dynamic Commissioning Procedures (DCPs) Specification and Scope of Work for the Various Instruments and Reviewing the Vendor Documents and Instrumentation Construction activities
