DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK

Two months after Bachelor graduation from the

faculty of medicine in 1996,I spent one year as a

pre-registrar House officer at Benha University

Hospital,Zagazig University,Cairo.During that year

I spent 2 months course in each of the following

departments:general surgery,general

medicine,obstetrics&gynaecology,pediatric

medicine,ICU,rheumatology&rehabilitation

IN OCTOBER 1999: I started my residency program

in the rheumatology&rehabilitation program

department during which I granted the Master

degree in Rheumatology&Rehabilitation in June

2003,during my residency I acquired the basic

clinical as well interventional skills.

During my work:

In the Rheumatology Wards:I have independently

managed inpatients with various rheumatology

disorders severe RA,complicated SLE,SSC,

autoimmune vasculitic disorders,inflammatory

myopathies with its systemic complications&etc

In the daycare I have managed independently

patients patients with minor complication of

rheumatology disorders with injection&aspiration of

the inflamed joints&taking the plan for induction of

biological drugs

In the OPD:Conducting the rheumatology

clinics(private&governmental) which is a very rich

with many cases of various rheumatological

diseases.Examination&primary management of

patients.Diagnosis of inflammatory signs of the

joints using US MSK.Selection&treatment of

complicated cases for admission.Follow up of

chronic patients on long term treatment

In Rehabilitation Ward:Conducting rehabilitation

program for physiotherapists for

inpatients&outpatients

RESEARCH PROJECTS:

The master project:

1-The Master Thesis entitled(Anti Thrombin 111

relevance to clinical aspects of Rheumatoid

Arthritis)which showed that increased levels of the

antithrombin 111 concentration&activity in

plasma&synovial fluid of Rheumatoid arthritis

patients,suggesting the role of thrombin inhibition in

inflammatory process&severity of Rheumatoid

arthritis

2-Cardiac&vascular symptoms&signs of Behcet

ONGOING RESARCH,M.D THESIS:

The effect of lupus nephritis on

pregnancy,outcome,fetal&maternal complication

TEACHING SKILLS:

While I was in Benha University from 1999 to 2003

I had taught students in 5th&6th grade medical

MOH in 2005 I was performing lectures &teaching
