To whom it may concern,

This letter is to express my interest in your available position for an Entry-Level Software Engineer. As I have received my Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, I am confident that I have developed the necessary technical and analytical skills necessary to be an asset to your software engineering team. Through my coursework and personal projects, I have developed a strong understanding of popular programming languages such as Java, C and C++. University projects have also provided me with initial experience working with web applications, specifically the use of Python, JavaScript, Maven, and SQL Alchemy. As noted on my resume, I have been in various classes and projects which have introduced me to version control with GIT, the application development cycle, and multiple Agile Development methodologies such as SCRUM and Extreme Programming. I have recently begun learning about Android application development on my own time in order to expand my skillset. I greatly enjoy the problem- solving aspects of programming and am always willing to learn about new frameworks and languages. For the previous three summers, I have worked in the Tier2 IT Services team at Medavie Blue Cross, a Health Insurance organization. My tasks there involved managing the company’s IT assets, helping employees with computer issues, and setting up or configuring workstation computers. I was able to work effectively with my team and assisted in identifying and resolving many computer and network related issues. As I have developed crucial team based skills, as well as built a foundation of programming languages and development paradigms, I feel that I am prepared for the role of an Entry-Level Software Engineer.

Thank you for your consideration, I look forward to discussing any opportunities with you. Should you have any questions you may reach me at 412-***-**** or ************@*****.***. Sincerely,

Connor Foran
