I have recently begun learning about Android application development on my own time in order to expand my skillset. I greatly enjoy the problem- solving aspects of programming and am always willing to learn about new frameworks and languages. For the previous three summers, I have worked in the Tier2 IT Services team at Medavie Blue Cross, a Health Insurance organization. My tasks there involved managing the company’s IT assets, helping employees with computer issues, and setting up or configuring workstation computers. I was able to work effectively with my team and assisted in identifying and resolving many computer and network related issues. As I have developed crucial team based skills, as well as built a foundation of programming languages and development paradigms, I feel that I am prepared for the role of an Entry-Level Software Engineer.
