Investigation of the HIV/AIDS in the county involving the collection and analysis of local infection-related data through local clinics, physicians and organizations .
Sutter Co. Superintendent of Schools - Yuba city, CA Intervention and Prevention Services. 2002- 2003 Duties included conducting a study in five schools in Sutter County with the “California Healthy Kids Survey” which is a comprehensive youth self-report data collection system that provides essential and reliable health risk as- sessment and resilience information. Using the CHK survey results as a guide, designed and implemented the ‘Health Standards Program’ addressing the specifics needs for each school. Municipality of Huechuraba Health Center - Santiago, Chile Health Center Director 1996- 1998 This required coordinating and managing a multidiscipli- nary health team during the implementation of a new health center. Duties included leading studies in local epidemiology, performing a diagnosis of the local health situation, and plan- ning the team’s work and activities based on the local needs. The Health Center programs in- cluded The Adult Health Program (which included the Chronicle Sicknesses Control sub-pro- gram, Drugs and Alcohol, and Domestic Violence sub-programs), Women Health Program, In- fant and Youth Health Program, Dental Health Program, and Auxiliary Services (Admission and Archive, Pharmacy, Sterilization, and Nutrition support). Duties also included leading the team towards accomplishing the national goals of death and morbidity reduction by support- ing epidemiological studies and overcoming the community psycho-social obstacles for access to primary care.
