Gardner Building Inc. (06/02/1989- 05/19/2010)

Duties: As a Building Contractor I met with clients to develop building plans and to design plans for the individual needs and requirements for the project. I had to develop budgets, and time frames to complete the projects. I hired subcontractors and over saw all construction projects. I also built speculation homes where I had to go to the bank and borrow funds to build a home and sell it. I would design a house plan for a particular site taking into consideration the contour of the property, drainage, adjoining property owner improvements, and property restrictions. A lot of planning goes into a building job before breaking ground. I worked with the inspectors, bankers, subcontractors, suppliers, attorneys, and realtors. I have experience driving all kinds of small and large trucks pulling trailers hauling building materials. I am a VA certified home plan designer.
