Nationwide Remarketing – Consultant 2015 – Present

This company is in the Automotive business buying and selling cars online.

Designed Database and wrote Stored Procedures in MS SQL 2014.

Designed and build windows UI front end using C#.Net for managing inventory.

Wrote API interfaces to various third parties to transfer data between systems using several proposals, rest services, JSON end points and others. These APIs are used in the automated pricing engine, automated SMS texting interface, sending assignments to vendors, getting updates from vendors….

Setup and manage servers for system with redundant backup site.

Manheim Auto Auctions – Consultant 2002 present – Sr SQL systems engineer

This company is in the Automotive Auction business. In 2002 they used SQL Server 2000. Later we upgraded the system to 2005 and in 2013 we upgraded to 2008 R2.

Wrote Stored Procedures, Trigger, and Functions in MS SQL

Designed database structures and implemented in SQL Server.

Wrote front end UI screens using VB.NET and C#.NET

Designed and implemented online auction system which use several technologies:

oOnline Bidder DB which uses linked servers to move real time auction data to a designated high volume SQL server so massive numbers of users will not cause production DB to crash.

oThe Real Time Audio/Video streaming was accomplished by developing a custom Flash Media Server application.

oThis high volume auction system requires 200 megs of bandwidth. This was hosted in a Via West data center to handle the bandwidth. I designed the data center, installed the equipment and managed.

oThis also required a network of Cisco firewalls and routers.

Helped create a complete user manual for end users

Designed and implemented a GAAP compliant GL accounting system for tracking of inventory, payables, expenses and revenue.

Designed title document tracking system and paperwork scanning. These documents are scanned as BLOBs and stored in an image database on the data warehouse SQL DB.

Developed photo storage database that holds all of the photos of units in a SQL DB. These are also stored at the data warehouse in a SQL DB. Designed Data Warehouse document management system. We have SQL Server BLOB database built using partitioned views. This structure holds over 300 Million photos and scanned images all available real time.

Wrote web Services VB.Net to support automatic system to move assignments across systems between clients and vendors.

Wrote Data Buyer import system that takes buyer information (name, address, dealer license…) from a third party provider and loads the data into all of the necessary DBs. This directly loads the third party data into a dedicated buyer master DB and then moves the data to the necessary production DBs using linked servers, scheduled task and stored procedures.
