Major Project:

Evaluation of Mechanical properties of E – Glass fibre composite

We worked on preparation of Reinforced E - Glass composite, a composite material which has two types of materials namely Reinforcement and Matrix material. The reinforcement along with matrix material forms a strong composite. We chose E – Glass as reinforcement and Polyester resin as matrix and we subjected the formed composite to several wear tests to see how the fibres react to the loads at different conditions. By studying these results we can trace out the lagging point and work on that to improve the properties to increase the strength. That is done by changing the production process, reinforcement – matrix ratio, resin – hardener ratio.

Mini-Project:

Installing Micro-Hydro Turbine under the Over-head tank

By the effective usage of the Potential Energy (which is otherwise generally wasted) of the water stored in the Over-head tank and utilizing it to produce electricity by installing Micro-Hydro Turbine which converts the Kinetic energy of the water to electrical energy
