March 2012 to September 2015
Defined requirements, analyzed, designed and implemented complex computer-based information systems for Battelle business functions, particularly those pertaining to contracts and billing.
Overrun Funding Authorization Project: Gathered requirements, validated requirements, facilitated user stories, documented the process flow using Visio, performed quality assurance testing and supported the developers during the project to create a process flow for authorizing overrun funding for contracts kept in the Contracts component of PeopleSoft Financials 9.0. Developed SQL for determining expended funding on contracts for related reporting. Overrun funding is funding that will not be provided by the client for project work.
ACRN Tracking Pages Project: Gathered requirements, validated requirements, facilitated user stories, documented the design of the ACRN (Accounting Classification Reference Number) Tracking pages added to the Contracts component of PeopleSoft Financials 9.0 as well as coordinated plans for correcting data relating to ACRN’s invoiced and allocated. From there, I developed test scripts in HPQC ALM 11.0 for WAWF testing.
XML Invoice Format Project: Gathered requirements, developed design modifications and tested invoice generating for invoices with the new XML formats that use ACRN’s. The invoices were created by a custom PeopleSoft application engine program that was part of the billing finalization PeopleSoft Job plan.

ACRN Adjustment Process: Created a process for correcting invoices that either have incorrect ACRN assignment or no ACRN assignment when ACRN funding was available. Developed the calculation using SQL scripts to distinguish invoice cost from invoice fee. At-Risk Funding Authorization Project: Gathered requirements, validated requirements, facilitated user stories, documented the process flow using Visio, performed quality assurance testing using HPQC ALM 11.0 and supported the developers during the project to create a process flow for authorizing at-risk funding for opportunities, proposals and contracts and its supporting notification batch job. Developed SQL for determining expended funding on contracts for related reporting. At-risk funding is funding that hasn’t been finalized in any formal agreement with the client for eventual project work. This data resided in the contracts component of PeopleSoft Financials 9.0.
Proposal Terms/Conditions Project: Gathered requirements, validated requirements, documented design and performed quality assurance testing using HPQC ALM for a project to enhance the terms/certifications/conditions functionality in proposal management and contracts modules and enable integration between the terms/certifications/conditions in proposal management and contracts components in PeopleSoft Financials 9.0.
Limitation of Costs and Funds Project: Gathered requirements, validated requirements, facilitated user stories, and documented the process flow using Visio, performed quality assurance testing and supported the developers during the limitation of costs and funds notification project. This data resided in the contracts component of PeopleSoft Financials 9.0. Developed SQL for determining expended funding on contracts to determine when a notification is to be sent. This project replaced what was a process initiated from manually running a query and manually sending emails.
